The light in the "Homebuilt Spitfire" is amazing...caught on the propeller, too!
Very nice.

I usually see it twice a day...

(Well, usually only once 'cause I'm rarely up early enough to see it in the morning)

Awesome, where does one go to take shots like these? I doubt my airport or even local airport would let me on the tarmac...

As Jay noted, with the exception of three images all my photos were taken while standing on a step ladder; shooting over a fence at a local airport (Willie/KIWA). The F-22 and F-4 images were taken at this years Luke AFB air show and the A-26 was taken at my home town municipal airport (Falcon/KFFZ). Only the A-26 involved access behind "the fence"; which I arranged with the company that had performed repairs on the A-26. We are very blessed in our area to have generally good photo opportunities at multiple regional airports.

Here's some tips to get access to the ramp of your local airport. Make friends with the rampies, mechanics, or anyone else who works there. Go out on a weekend, (Fewer people working, not as busy) and and go to the FBO, tell them who you are and what you want to do. Be very nice and you might get a tour of the airport from the inside. I used to work weekends and I would take people to take pictures quite often. Just be nice and polite and you may be surprised.
