I was playing around with CS5 and LR3. Using LR3 preset settings and transfer to CS5 and edit some more to create these PP. What do you think of these?

The sky in #1 is too blue for me.

The second one is really nice. The color tone works well here. I like the framing of the trees at the bottom and the mountain on the left. There's a bit of sensor dust right below the clouds.

Something is going on with the clouds in #3 that looks like a halo. And the whole thing looks soft. Was it HDR?

A bit harsh in exp and contrast color.
Presets are easy but often dont work well.
Dirty sensor in #2.
Do you use a UV filter ?
Are you the TT from RIT '76 ?

@goldboughtrue and @EL_PIC. Very true about the blue sky. The sun was too harsh and made those rocks washed out, so I thought using blue would tone that down. Yes, the sensor was dirty and is now cleaned. Didn't use any filter for these shots. The #3 is indeed HDR.

Not sure who or what RIT '76 is.

Thanks for your inputs.

When you say 'the sky is too blue', you have to realize that the sky is not always the same. I have shots looking up at trees at Yosemite where the sky (without tinkering) is a lot deeper blue than that. The air is really thin when you get up to 10000 ft. or so.

He may have added a little blue to it, but the result is not out of the range of possibility at high altitudes.

Thanks @rick_reno...I do like the outcome.
@John C, that is very true. I also have photos from my other visit and the sky was much deeper blue than the one I posted. On a day when the humidity is low (the air is dry) you may notice that the sky is a darker and deeper blue.
I used the preset "cool blue" setting on for this PP. :)
