eraser tool cursor

my eraser tool cursor is showing up as a cross hair.i've tried to reset in edit > preferences > displays & cursors.but it's still a cross hair.

Is your Caps Lock on? (I think)

One time I was on a tight deadline and I hit the capslock key - it cost me 45 minutes and 4 Motrin.

Man!! Thanks scottes for this. It has been driving me CRAZY. All of a sudden I get these cross hairs on my clone stamp and I cant figure out why! Then, it dissappears just as fast as it came!
