Very nice... like this a lot! I am going to do a "Street People" themed series soon and hope to get this look in some of them!!!

looks over processed to me, especially the skin and the chin area. the skin texture just doesn't look realistic to me.

I can always tell when an image is a success when some people love it and some people hate it.

Techniques for post processing are roughly:
Duplicate the layer in Photoshop.
Change the new layer to a blend mode of vivid light.
Invert that layer.
Filter > surface blur choose 40 and 40.
ctrl + alt + Shift + E = a new layer.
Discard the layer under that new layer.
Change blend mode to overlay.
Maybe adjust opacity if that layer.

Then dodge and burn or whatever else you want to do to the image as far as color etc.
