Literally. I also had no idea where to post this, so mods, feel free to move it if you feel it should be elsewhere.
I am in a service program called AmeriCorps NCCC serving the North Central Region out of Vinton, IA. On July 11, a massive storm hit Vinton and devastated our campus. I don't know why I feel the urge to share this on POTN, since the photography is anything BUT spectacular, but here is the blog post I wrote, which has my only pictures from the day tacked onto the end of it.
The second to last one is probably the best of the lot, which isn't saying much. They were all taken with my old Sony Cybershot because my 60D spent over 24 hours locked in another team's van (horror story of my own dumb negligence).

You can critique the pictures if you want to, but this is more to inform you people of some good work coming out of bad disasters than anything else. I'll hopefully have FAR better photos to post in the coming days as clean-up efforts continue.
