First time posting photos on here so wanted to show off some from a nice shoot with a beautiful model in Florida named Brittney. We even found a horse and tractor to use for the shoot.

Canon 7d
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L
Canon 430EXII Speedlight with Cheetah Softbox

I like the fourth one a lot -- in particular, I like her expression a lot more in that than I do in the rest.

The fifth I like, but I think I'd like it more if it were a little less desaturated.

Numbers 1-3 don't appeal to me: that's really a personal preference, though, rather than a critique of the photo. They're either too processed for my taste or she's wearing too much makeup for my taste... on this monitor I can't tell which.

Thanks for the comments. She was a pleasure to work with and it was a big surprise to find a horse right next door to where we planned to shoot.
It's too bad that the images are so compressed for the internet which makes the skin look overprocessed. In fullsize the skin looks flawless but still like skin instead of plastic.

The first one , the red is too much. The 4th and 5th ones are the best in captureing the country mood, I think.

Great work!! Thanks for sharing. I would have probably cropped the one on the tractor a bit more just because there's a lot of stuff in the pic but they are all great pics.

How do you achieve the lighting in photo #4 ? I'm doing a shoot of a girl in a wheat feild and i'd love to achieve that sort of light. Love some tips ! I'm currently shooting with a canon 50d.

Very pretty model and nicely done. One thing I've noticed with Canon gear and shooting reds--they come out overcooked for some reason. What I do during processing is go into just the red channel and drop it about 20%. Sometimes I'll darken reds back up if they lose too much punch. Serves to eliminate the 'glow' that reds sometime produce like in your first shot.

Again, nice work and a great location!

Great comments all. The lighting on 4 was natural light and then probably just balenced with LR3. The rest had some fill with the speedlite-softbox combo.

Here's some more from the shoot:
