Am I correct in assuming that you used the RGND with darkest at the horizon? What did you use in the foreground for metering? This is where I always mess these up - never pick the right thing to meter in the foreground.

Second for me, both very good (I'd expect nothing less :) ), but the rising sun just pips it

If I had to be very picky (and I mean very picky) the tips of the grass particularly in the first are darker than the rest of the grass (due to grad), but doesn't distract in any way.

Correct. I always meter for the foreground. In this case it was the wood walkway to the beach. :)
