Still; when some thread discusses some photo technique where actual examples embedded inline would illustrate matters so well, yet I see 20 or 30 posts without said photos, I just wondered about it. Not as a means of showing off how pretty their kid is, but to illustrate some point.
Here's an example; (to illustrate:p - and hopefully not annoy).
On another site there were several pages regarding white balance. The thread's poster was a novice and didn't get it. So I posted the following 2 side by side.
Photo #1, Custom WB set too low. Blue tint.
Photo #2, corrected.
Problem illustrated.
Photography books take this approach extensively. When talking about photography, examples just seem natural. Am I wrong?
Another reason I like seeing inline stuff. Suppose there was a poster on that same forum who claimed to be a long time professional, written 3 books, etc. Having an opportunity to see their postings (all average or below) would allow me to better evaluate whom to take (or not take) advice from.
