So i was hired to shoot a wedding next month... and the weddings will be help in Bright sunlight, outdoors...

Can anyone recommend any sunlight diffusers... i would liek to shoot some wideopen shots for Bokeh and use some lighting as well, but the sunlight will be my enemy.

Provide any tips? etc...

Not sure what your gear list is but I know you take some great shots!

Id look into a 3-5 stop ND filter to combat the direct sunlight.

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1061073 - After reading this I went out and bought a cheap Rocketfish ND filter to play with

By sunlight diffusers, do you mean a big scrim or some large panel to block the sun falling on the subject?

What Gonzo asked... ^

If you are looking for something to BLOCK the sun with, I know of just the item - a Sun Swatter.

But likely, an ND filter will get you where you need to be.

Find some shade. Seriously. You can tote and overwork or you can use natural scrims. Sometimes you have to scrim, bc there is no shade anywhere, but normally you can find some... ;)

lol, best reply... !!!!

They are having the wedding in a open grass area by a lake and may want to shoot in the open.... i'd rather be ready (safe than sorry)

i'll pack an ND filter as well...

Depending how this shoot goes i might want to venture in wedding photography. we're being paid very well for this shoot...

I cant imagine having enough help to scrim to do wedding photos. It would take a pretty big scrim and at least two people to hold it. They are more practical for portraits where you have the time to dedicate a lot of time to a single shot.

Use flash or reflectors to soften shadows. You won't have time to scrim all your shots. Best of luck to you. Weddings are not as easy as they may appear.
