That last one is awesome! Now I know who was blocking my shots. ;o)
I wish I had had a bigger lens to take some neat pictures...but since I didn't I'll just enjoy looking at yours, you got some good ones!

haha...yeah, i was supposed to be taking a 300 2.8 with me and it got checked out by someone else :( so the 70-200 and 17-40 had to do for the day...oh well, next year ill do 10x better :)

my friend actually brought a old canon 800mm and it had different contacts from my 20d, so it must have been real old, he picked it up at a Navy Surplus sale for $50

I'm hoping I'll have a good lens by next year but they're taking about this was the last year for the base jumpers becuz of insurance cost...my hubby was talking something over a million just for the day? State can't afford the insurance, of course personally I think the jumpers should do it at their own risk, with their own insurance, heck no one's forcing them to jump off a 876 ft bridge. =oP So what kind of lenses did you have for these shots? ? ? They're just awesome and I just LOVE that last one really...its too cool!

17-40 f4, 70-200 f4, 85mm 1.8

Also had a few videographers (mostly students) with me, so we spent a lot of time interviewing people and transporting gear ect, we did a whole piece on security and setup for the event, and actually stayed at one of the park rangers house who is fairly high up in the orgnaization for bridge day...wasnt this year because of Katrina and he was out of town, but from what I gathered it def wont be the last year, even though it costs a lot for the event, the rev the town brings in from that single 6 hour event keep the drive going. It's by far one of my favorite events of the year to attend...
