Well tonight was fun, the Raptors squeaked by...but of course after we left the game went into overtime and we missed it...anyway it was still fun.

We were sitting on the top gold seats which were not bad...but with only 200mm range, these are the best i could do. the angle wasn't great either. I'll share these for now...i have a few more :D

YOu know these are pretty good...the only thing I would have suggested is maybe a shaloower depth of field so that the backgrounds were less noticable...

Cheers,

Cheers,

thanx symes, considering it was my fiest sports shots i think they turned out ok. I used TV mode mainly because using AV was just to difficult. I think it would've defaulted to f4.

I'm not sure right now, but i was using TV mode only because AV was giving me slow shutter speeds.

I'm jealous. You're not allowed to take in big zooms to Laker games.

Funny you mention that Wild, they stopped me at first, then another guy said it's o.k as long as i don't use flash, but then everyone in there with a p&s were using a flash.

They also allowed video cameras:)

I'm going to see the Toronto Maple Leafs on the 31st so i hope i don't gete hassled that night:)

LOL!:)

here's what's written on their web site:

Cameras, Video Cameras, Audio Recorders
For most events the use of flash photography and professional equipment, video or audio recording is not permitted. However, small "point-and-shoot" cameras are generally permitted.
NBA: Use of flash photography is strictly prohibited. Video cameras ARE permitted, but the use of still photos or video footage for commercial purposes without written permission from the NBA is prohibited.
NHL: Video cameras are NOT permitted. Non-flash still photography is permitted; however, if the lens is detachable it must not exceed 75mm.
NLL (Toronto Rock): Video cameras are NOT permitted. Non-flash still photography is permitted; however, if the lens is detachable it must not exceed 75mm.
Concerts/Special Events: As the camera policy for each event is different, we recommend that fans contact Fan Services at (416)815-5982 prior to arriving at the building to confirm the camera policy for a particular event.

MLSEL reserves the right to change the camera policy!

So with the NBA, it's o.k but no flash, but people use them anyway, but for the NHL it's limited to 75mm which kinda sucks, i have my kit lens and an 85mm but i woul need close seats to get decent shots with the kit lens...i guess the zoom is out of te question, unless i sneak it in some how:)

I am at every home game for the Pacers. You are allowed to bring in zooms but not external flashes. The flashes that you see on TV are from the P & S cameras. I've never seen anyone hassled over a lens..
