Having majority of my experience with Nikon's flashes, I know Nikon's lower end models cannot do FP and you are limited to Flash X-sync rate listed for your camera. With some of the better flashes like SB600 and above, you can do FP. I remember that Canon's 430EX2 is able to do FP, but I can't figure out from reading any reviews if 320EX is capable of it?

fp?

example: a listed Flash Xsync rate of Canon 40D is 1/250. With 430EX flash, in Shutter priority or Manual, you can go above 1/250. It is highly useable for fill-in during day shoots in the middle of a day. I wanted to know if 320EX retains that feature.

FP is called HSS (High Speed Sync) by Canon.

Yes, according to the specs on this page, the 320EX does have HSS...
