The B&W does this justice and makes quite a newsworthy statement. Britania757 wrote in post #19066768 Power outage in the Willis Tower. Day four. For those not living around here, the backstory is that a Com-Ed power sub station in one of the sub basements of the tower (formerly Sears Tower) was flooded Monday of this week when the Chicago River overflowed its "banks" (walls of concrete, actually) and infiltrated many lower parts of the city, including Willis Tower. There are massive radio and TV antennas atop the roof. A good deal of local broadcasts are still off the air due to this. Digital over the air free TV is great stuff, but not when the transmitters can't power up.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon as there are lots of people unable to work during the virus, and now this happens and affects many buildings and companies besides this one. Interesting story. I hope it gets fixed soon. Some of the conventions run buses between the hotels near the river and the convention center. They use a special road that run next to some rail road tracks. Leaving street level to get to that road seems like a long way down- some of us joked we were on a bus to a very sultry place. We were surprised it was so far down because we knew the hotel was next to the river. I hope the infrastructure down there wasn't too badly damaged.
