Hi all,

I am upgrading my lights ( i have 2x Wl10000, 2x umbrella, 2 umbrella softbox )

I am thinking of getting :

1x ABR800 Ringflash + 56" moon unit + diffuser ( close to $600 shipped )
or
2x WL X1600 "used" for $600 ( strobes + reflector )

For family portrait, some glamour/fashion mostly indoor. ( white/blach background, paper white bg )

What 's your suggestion?
Thank you.

2x WL X1600 and a BD if you don't already have one.

Agreed, you can do a lot more with a regular strobe (and especially the WL's with the 1/4 power switch) than the ABR, and with the WL kit you are getting two. IMO this is especially true if you are looking to shoot on white seamless, where you may quickly find yourself wanting three or four lights. The WL's are known to be reliable and durable.

RIng lights are cool, but the catchlight is not right for most applications so I'd go with the white lightnings personally.

Thanks for the replies.
I am going to check out those 2 WL.
Is there anything about the x1600 I need to pay more attention in checking the units? ( first time buying used strobes )
