But it is prolly one of the best zooms Canon has released.....JMO. 1DX|80D||200 f2L IS|300 f2.8IS|400 f2.8IS|70-200 mkII|24-70 mkII|1.4X TC iii|2.0X TC iii|600EX-RT|580EX II|2 Einsteins & AB800|

That lens is stupid sharp.

IMO people that are struggling to decide between them probably just don't know enough about what they actually need and shouldn't buy either. You can get a great 70-200mm F/2.8 IS zoom, or for less money get an 85mm F/1.8, 135mm F/2, and 200mm F/2.8 where each individual lens is smaller/lighter with a larger aperture across most of the range - but missing IS and the versatility. So did a quick check on the " 85mm F/1.8, 135mm F/2, and 200mm F/2.8 ". Looks like it adds up to about $2,350... so just about the same price as the 70-200 f2.8 IS MK2... 5D Mark II Gripped | 24-105L | 70-200L F2.8 IS II | 430EX | G16
