When I received my Sigma 50 it was not spot on as I wanted. I tried the MA but ran out of adjustment so I sent it to CRIS. I had the lens in my hand again in less than a week after they got it. If you like the lens get it calibrated.

I like it, but to send it in to get calibrated means I have to send my camera in also? I tried to macro adjust it and its starting to do kinda sharp @ +18

Are they optically unsharp at f/1.4 or just misfocusing?

There is a difference..

If you are still within the return period, I would return the 50. On a brighter note, your 85 looks spot on. Thats a keeper.

Try both lenses on subjects with different distance. There is the weak spot of all these sigma lenses..

You right, it was front focusing I had to go +18 I think. I'm guessing thats to much to keep this lens. I want to send it in, but I'm about to ship my camera to canon next week.

I been playing with my 85 it seems to be spot on. I will need to try it with my 50.

Definitely get it calibrated. I got lucky on mine. My sigma 30, 50 and 85 are all spot on and in no need for adjustments =D

Send it to Sigma for calibration and be done with it. :-)
