This was a difficult shot to compose as the moment just fell in to my lap, so I had to move fast. I've cropped this by about 50%, to increase impact and try to reduce the distraction of the branches, twigs and bits of foliage that were all distracting attention from the Osprey.

The poor old fish was still alive for quite a while and some of the other shots in the sequence are a little gruesome but they also tell you a lot about how skilful the Osprey is at dissection...
