Exactly! THATS the real motivation for me to find ways to keep my gear clean! Having gear that looks brand new in the end is just a happy byproduct! Its kinda like the guys that believe GND filters are better than handling it in post. If you spend the money, get the filter use it on the shoot, then every image you capture through it is less time you have to spend post processing each later. Keeping my tripod legs covered is really my laziness coming out because I hate sitting there taking my tripod apart to get into every nook and cranny trying to clean it. And I would too, bc Im seriously anal.

how do you use the cover when you split your tripod to be just a few inches above the ground?

You can fairly easily fold the covers into themselves to reduce the length by half. Thats how I do it.

I heard that all B&H and Adorama shipments to California have been cancelled. California wants them to charge sales tax on their online items so all items have been returned and declined acceptance into California. Sorry Ben.

Ha ha ha, yea right, their gonna monitor all shipments coming from all shipping companies into CA and refuse the ones from a huge list of online resellers that dont charge CA sales tax?! Impossible. I just got orders from each of those companies delivered yesterday too. lol And besides, my tripod is coming from Amazon!

Yea, they have no authority to try and make a company with no presence in CA charge anything to their customers. TuanTime was just messing with me.

...meeny.
