So I have embarked on a quest to capture as many portraits with my canon g11 that I can. I'm taking advantage of every situation I find myself in to take a portrait shot with the g11 in every possible lighting situation. I know I can't possibly find myself in all of them, but I'm trying my best. I shoot a mix of things so I guess it's going to be a matter of time before I get a good variety of shots going.

I've had the g11 since it first appeared on the market, but have not really dabbled with it for portraits. I did one shot last year and forgot all about it. I was going to sell this wonderful little camera just a couple weeks ago, but now I've decided to keep it.

There isn't to much info on portraits with a g series camera on the internet. I've found some things, but not what I've been looking for, so I thought I'd try to do something about it. I would like to invite everyone that has taken PORTRAITS (only) with the g11 or any G series camera to share their photos here.

Those are great examples!

10megapixel that photo has great lighting. I wouldnt be able to tell if that was taken with a dslr or a g10! i love it.

mrshobden the subject stands out from the background very well. Is that in post? The eyes are beautiful!

Thank you, dou_b_14. She has got beautiful eyes! The only thing I did in post was to use Iris Enhancer in Lightroom....it was my first and only time using Lightroom with my G11...I use iPhoto normally.

The snow falling adds a great effect to this photo
