Saved her or him from a fairly busy road this morning.

Good job. I'm 0 for 2 on saving turtles in the road. last one was a snapping turtle. I tried to move it off the road with my foot, but it kept trying to bite me. Before I could get it off the road some rednecks in a truck ran over it. on purpose.:(

Grab them from the tail or back of the shell and they won't get ya. Just stay away from the pointy end and you'll be fine!! :)

watch out for there feet/claws as well, and be aware these guys carry a lot of nasty things like salmonella and such , so if touched clean your hands well with an alcahol based soap

- OH and best way to pick them up is to step on them and grab the shell right above the head and above the take (these guys get real big) they cant get there head back enough to get you
