At first it only did it while i select a photo in loupe mode now if I turn the saturation all the way up to 100 and export I still get this.

IMAGE: http://www.guvmentcheese.com/jd0gg/photos/1137l-0516.jpg

This was shot with a 24-105/4 with a polarizer, that sky is supposed to be as blue as the locomotive. The red freight car is supposed to be Ferrari red. What the hell happened? Everything looks bland

Well, one thing that happened is that you exported to ProPhoto RGB space. That's ok if your monitor is calibrated and if you use Firefox or Safari. It will also be sort of ok if you use IE9 and have a narrow gamut (sRGB) monitor. Since in this case you are looking for high saturation, you might even be happy with IE9 and a wide gamut monitor. But with IE8 or earlier, Chrome or Opera, bland is what you'll get.

Interesting -- I'm on a cheap laptop and using IE8 and it doesn't look bland/neutralized/desaturated to me, but I don't know what your "intended" look would be.

Try converting to sRGB and posting here so we can compare. And, if your Lightroom display of it shows it the way you want it, maybe a screenshot of it open in LR would help.

I don't know what your problem is, but that picture looks obviously oversaturated on my screen. I'm viewing it in Firefox on an HP Elitebook with "Dreamcolor" display.

Seriously, I thought there was a before and after photo but you didn't post the unsaturated version.

EDIT: I wrote this coming from a reference point of the OP's assertion that it was bland and undersaturated. When I reread what I wrote it sounds more over the top that I had meant. I just meant it was totally obviously saturated and colorful - like "Ferrari red" like the OP mentioned. What I wrote was "obviously oversaturated", but I had meant to write was "obviously, definitely colorful and saturated". In my opinion it look like it's had the saturation slider turned up for effect, but not horribly so or something.

Anyways - the problem seems to be that the OP looked at the original picture and it's horribly bland and not saturated on his/her machine, right?

iPad viewing here and I think this looks very natural.

Agree on the PP embed. The PS thumb shows what you wanted: http://regex.info …2Fphotos%2F1137l-0516.jpg (external link)

Export for the web in sRGB and you'll be fine. ;)

Yep. ProPhotoRGB embedded.
Looks very much oversaturated in FireFox.

I think this is the link Amonline tried to post ;)

Well ****, that explains a few things. Learn something new everyday. I intentionally turned the saturation waayyy up on that photo to demonstrate my issue.

I'm about to do a batch from a gig last night we'll see how those turn out.

I get this same issue in IrfanView I'll see if it gets fixed there too.

The image *should* look highly saturated in LR. If it doesn't, something is wrong.
If it does: What LR shows is correct.

lol, yeah, I just tried opening the picture up in IE6 whereas my posts regard looking at it in Firefox - *totally* different colors...in Firefox the red is Ferrari red, totally. In ie6 it's like a brown.

Yeah, I'm with Paul. Looks great in FF, but is killed in IE. Which corresponds with the earlier posts that you've got the wrong profile embedded. Follow Rene's comments and you should get it sorted just fine.

Looking on my home desktop, the OP shot looks like a highly saturated shot taken on the well-liked color transparency film (for its saturated colors!) Velvia 50. (The sky is definitely over saturated even by Velvia standards!)
