Question regarding image file permission imported from LR3 in Mac -- RAW, Post Processing & Printing in photography-on-the.net forums

I'm using LR 3 on a Macbook.
I realize those pictures I imported from my memory card to my local hard drive is set to 777 lately. I thought it used to be 744.
Is there any setting I can do to make the permission default to 744.
Is it my mac setting or LR3 setting causing this?
