firstly, why have you taken down the second 'fixed' photo? secondly, and don't take offense, whatever you did made it look all squashed and distorted. you'd have to be blind not to notice.
the original is fine as it is.

are you playing games here by taking the second photo down?

WOW WOW WOW. What the heck are you talking about?? I have never posted a second photo that was squashed and distorted. I have only posted one pic, the one that is at the start of the thread, and I am very happy with that. I have no clue as what you are talking about, might be someone else that have messed with this thread, but I have only posted 1 (one) picture.

And no, I am not playing any games.

holy heck....I think someone needs to take a chill pill
the second pic was posted by someone else...not the original poster.

that poster must of removed it after getting a couple of negative remarks to it.

I think the image posted is very cool.

That'd explain it. I must've perceived both images as belonging to the same post. I thought the op was being a wise guy. My apologies.

reading through posts I see lots of people making this mistake...commenting on edits as if they are from the OP.

As for replies that get deleted...would be kind of nice to at least show that a reply was deleted and who it was from.

It's a good image, IMO. Nice job.

The thing that most attracts me to this image is the mystery about what it is. I assume it might be a pedestrian tunnel under a river but there are no people. It's also interesting to observe that the walls on either side are rock which hasn't been covered, indicating that maybe the tunnel isn't used by the general public.

On the technical side, I think you've done very well providing plenty of detail.

David

It's a tunnel that goes down to the subway station where I live, I took this picture about 12:30 am right before they closed the station for the night so that's why you can't see any people. Hope that I haven't take the mystique out of the picture for you

Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks. I take it you didn't see the image below yours then. Someone wrote something to the effect, "corrected the distortion" and it looked awful.

So I looked at it as if the photo you posted was 'the old photo you played around with', and the mess that other guy posted was your result!

Anyway, as I mentioned, I like the picture. Even without any people it conveys a sense of emptiness.

Have you tried working it as a more straight B+W, that is, without the blue tint?
