Oh, I don't know - when someone includes it in their own content it's a good indicator of posts worth ignoring.

It's also a pretty good marker for spammers (but see above).

I won't settle for anything less than the instant, life-long ban of anybody who declares something to be book worthy that is not book worthy. These things include, but not exclusively, the following:

- Particularly astute lens recommendations. It maybe the same as what you have in your sig, but that doesn't mean people want to read about it.

- Any statement that is in agreement with your side of an argument when swinging handbags at each other.

There are more.

The only things that should be declared book worthy are examples of photographic skill beyond the ken of mere mortals and awesomely witty put-downs.

That is all.

I dare not use the offensive icon now, but I truly enjoyed this phrase! (But that was rather lengthy. Maybe should have used the icon after all. Typical me... can't win. Yes, there you go. It's about ME now.)

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

Disable smilies ?!! Never. I take a disgusting amount of pleasure from using the rolling eyes. It almost makes up for the heinous abuse of the book worthy one. Almost.
