Something about this is magical. I know he uses a 5d mark II + 85 II. I have a 5d mark II and a sigma 85 1.4. I know it should be pretty close, but I can't seem to figure out what type of post processing he uses? Thanks in advance.

Um, that's pretty basic stuff. Just color corrected and vibrance/saturation. The equipment has hardly anything to do with those results.

yep - Equipment has very little to do with that (other than a nice wide apature if needed) but looking at that it looks like contrast/exposure/satu​ration boost via lightroom/camera rar

I think the shooter has a pretty good understanding of lighting technique(s).

Yeah I would agree...if you have an understanding of lighting and how it works then doing your pp work is easy. However, I'm not there yet, but that's what the pros say...lighting, lighting, lighting
