Ok, so I'm trying to learn how to shoot candids at events... I'm rather shy so I thought this is a good chance (at the rodeo) to try and poke my little head out of my shell.

Here are 5 shots I took at the rodeo yesterday... one has been PP'd. A bit of CC would help me better learn... thanks heaps!!

Looks like you missed a bit of focus on a couple of those, but I just want to say something about that dude in the black and white pic: If those were my photos, I'd enlarge that one and hang it on my wall, claiming he was my uncle on my father's side or some such lie. I'd even make up a cool name. that is an awesome shoot, such a cool character! I love it.

Yeah a had a few others that were out of focus...I didn't take the time to check my settings.... and the guy with the hat? Yeah... he was standing on the other side of the snake-pit thing and I just loved how he looked. And I just couldn't tell if he was looking at me or the snakes...but I knew I just had to get a shot. :p

Thanks for the comments

Good start on your candids.
Is the B&W cropped or untouched?
I 'd love to see more of his hand/arm if possible.

Yep, it's cropped.
But still can't see his hand.
Here's the original
