I like how it came out, but I know I have a long way to go.

first things first, watch your horizons :) also - what settings did you do this with? how many exposures?

I am by no means a HDR expert but I dont think there is enough detail in the photo to warrent HDR - maybe take a different perspective using the pier?

3 exposures where used. I pretty much used the auto settings on photomatic and adjusted from there.

I think all it needs is the horizon straightened...nice shot, especially for your first attempt.

straighten the horizons, lose some of the saturation and dial down the glare a little and it will be nice shot - great work for your first attempt - keep it up :)
