You've reminded me why I always loved it when the dads came in to the studio for newborn shots along with the moms, which was rare. I always loved watching first time dads interact with their first borns. While mom is usually confident in handling them, the dads are often a bit nervous, handling the baby like it is made of glass, but just so COMPLETELY GA GA OVER-THE-MOON-IN-LOVE with the little creature. It is so fun to watch the dads especially swooning and staring at their babies with that "OMG....I can't believe I made this perfect little baby" look. Your post has that "tone" to it. Love it.
