Hi, my Canon 50D (one year old) has been slowing down in alservo mode lately :(

It happpens most recently with two of my 2 gig cards, but not so much with the newer 8 gug card.

When I format my cards, I do it in camera, but should I do it on the computer once in a while, does it make a difference, or is it the camera playing up? All cards are SANDISK ultras and one extreme (2 gig)

Mt copy of Canon utilities went with the last computer, and don't have the CD anymore, is there a way to properly format without that program? I knew how to with canon eos utilities!

Any help appreciated, I use Alservo most as I have three young extremly active children and this is quite frustrating :(

Also sometimes it takes aggggeeeeesss to record a single normel photo!

Whats going on???

figured it out, I think, will try it out today to see if it works, I formated via disk utility, but still not sure if the cards are the problem!

FWIW I have always formatted my cards in the camera, and never in the computer. No problems here.

You mentioned AI Servo... so are you saying it takes longer to clear the buffer in AI Servo mode than it does in One Shot?

nope, jast that it takes longer in al servo then it ever did before in the same mode (al servo)

Not sure what it is, it seemed a little quicker today after formatting with the computer, but still slower then normel :(
