Should I sell two 5Dc's and a 7D and buy a 1DMIV?

I'll do it, man. I will.

Your 24 isn't going to be very wide on the 1D4...I'm guessing if you like shooting wide you'd have to pick up a 17-40 or a 16-35 for that body just to cover the wide end...there's a good chunk of the price difference right there...

I'd personally just keep what you have now and sell the two 5Dcs and pick up a single 5D2 and call it a day, though...unless there's a reason you want to go to a single body, the convenience and flexibility of having two bodies, one FF one 1.6x is very valuable.

Yes, I have thought of that too.....it's definitely still a possibility. A 16-35 is in the plans already either way. Also thinking of selling the 24-105. It's a great lens, I just rarely use it.

Another reason to go 5D2 + 7D is that they both use the LP-E6 battery. This gives you more than you currently have in capabilities and a lot of versatility. It gives you a backup too. That said, the 1D4 is a heck of a camera and it's not likely to break anyway. Fwiw, I'm finding I use the 5D2 far more than the 1D4, but there are some things that you need top quality AF for - the 7D does that too...

Several cameras and more glass than I will admit to.

Dang... I'm assuming someone who has two 5D's and a 7D is doing some kind of pro shooting. So as nice as the 1D Mark IV would be, could you get away with having one body? Are you shooting weddings or other things where you need a backup?

I'd sell those three and move up, you can't carry all of them - why have them?
