Any current discounts on 5D MII and 24-70?
Should I wait a few months for a Possible new generation?
Is there really a shadow banding issue with the MII?

Thanks

In your dreams ... Demand is still outstripping supply, especially since the Japanese earthquake and the economy as it is (US dollar vs Japanese Yen). If anything the price of the kit is going up.

You could do, but why wait? The current camera is still a cracking piece of kit and that fact will not be diminished by a new model. OK the new model might be better, like the mk II was better than the original 5D, but that didn't make the 5D a bad camera overnight.

Yes the rumour mill is grinding hard about the mk III, but in all honesty not a lot of people, outside the fortunate few, who have seen it (maybe) know for sure.

That problem was fixed in the firmware a long time ago. Afaik it only occurred with very high ISO.

I was in a 5D2 now vs 5D3 debate, and I took the (big) plunge last week.

Couldn't sleep last Friday, and couldn't be happier last Saturday, it was like Xmas opening those boxes!
