I think if you search the forum for sigma4less you will find several hits. I've bought from them before and had no trouble at all. I just got the 1.4 TC. Note they are selling grey-market, so the extended warranty won't apply as far as I understand.

good luck,

Bob

I bought from them my Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 EX DG Macro and the Flash Sigma 500 DG Super. Received in Spain and no problems. Both working fine. Only one thing, you must pay VAT & Taxes in your country on arrival if you are outside USA. They don“t send items with green label o sample value !!

Cheers

My stuff was all US product and no issue with extended warranty. Very fast shipping - same day in most cases. I have purchased from them 3 times. No problems and no upsell.

i've never bought from them but a lot of independant reviewers of sigma lenses point to them as a place to buy.

I just bought the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG last week. I saw on their site where they were closing at 1:00pm that day for a week or so. It was like 10:00am so I called asked if I placed an order would it ship that day. They said yes so I placed the order. I received the lens yesterday and everything is great. $381 with shipping. I am happy with them.

Thanks for the good reports. Last night, late, I emailed Sigma US and asked about warranties on lenses bought from sigma4less, but so far no reply. I don't mind gray-market, as long as it comes with at least a year of warranty coverage, but I'm curious to see what Sigma's reply says. Anyway, I'm after the 15-30 lens for my 10D.

I had ordered my 30mm 1.4 with them and it came in a little over a week. I had to ship it back next day air because it has front focus issues. Its been 1 1/2 weeks now and Im still waiting for the replacement. They have emailed me last week but I still haven't gotten anything. I dont have any problems with them besides they are S.L.O.W!!!

When I was buying my TC, I spoke with both sigma4less and sigma USA. Both indicated there was a 1 year warranty for those products. If you buy a sigma lens from an authorized US dealer, you will get a longer warranty (4 years?) in the US. Sigma America was quite clear that the product was exactly the same, just didn't have the extended US warranty. It will be interesting if they reply differently to you.

I looked into the sigma 70-200/2.8 but their warranty was 1 year instead of 4 years that you would have gotton if you purchasing it elsewhere (the are ~10% cheaper). That is true for all EX series lens. However, for the consumer lenes that come with a 1 year warranty anyway, that would be no difference.
I have purchased from them online and have no problem.

RIchard.....are you sure it is that they are slow or is it that you are far.... ups from nyc is slow.... if you selected ups ground, that is 5 business day service... so if you shipped one back and they had to have it before sending you a replacement, that is 10 days shipping assuming no lag in between.... two weeks minimum.
