We had a great variety of birds in the back yard a few days ago. As common as blue jays are, this is actually the first decent BJ image that I have managed to get.
I recently upgraded from Photoshop CS3 Extended to Photoshop CS5 Extended and find that the NR tools in Camera Raw are allowing me to get relatively clean images at ISO 1600 and even 3200 sometimes. This shot is a relatively low ISO 800.
The downside is that my 32-bit 2-core machine is simply too slow. I am already thinking about a 64-bit workstation.
