She loves birds. I first set up a tripod with her 20D and 100-400mm for her earlier this summer. So she's been taking pictures of several females that frequent our feeder. Then I went ahead and put my 5DMkii for her to use. She's been trying...also keeping a journal of which bird is coming at what time. Here are some pictures.

Wonderful shots! Good eye and steady hand means potentially a great photographer.

I really wish you hadn't told us she was 11. Anyone want to buy my equipment?

Lol she turned 12 yesterday. I am saving for a 500mm f4 but I think I need a ts-e. She appreciates your comments and always curious about the responses on this thread.

I will repost some of her hawk pictures.

She's off to a great start. These little guys certainly aren't the easiest to capture. Very well done.

Here are the pictures of a hawk she took in 2010. 20D and Tamron 28-75mm in auto mode I think. Goes to show that sometimes it's more important to be at the right place at the right time than having the right equipment.
