I love how people ask you the same silly question everytime you try and sell something they want:

"Why are you selling it?"

What exactly does that have to do with anything? I mean, if someone is screwing you over, their not going to say "Dang it! You got me...I'm selling the 70-200/2.8L for $1000 because the AF motor broke...it's your basic fixer-upper!". If somebody is selling their gear, they're doing it because they'd prefer YOUR money over keeping THEIR gear. What more do you need to know??

it is not like someone is going to respond "I stole it, broke it, need the money, hence the sale"...

They all jump yellows and reds. You're pulled over for doing 55 in a 55, and not 80mph. They blare their horns left, right, and centre. Turning signals? What are they?

They can't beat the Romans.

First off, they drive down streets built for chariots as though they were the Autobahn. And, there must be a law that says whatever you do while blowing your horn is okay, because that's the way they drive.

Still,l some of Steven's pix and comments make me wonder about the Filipinos....

i'm guilty, i often ask this question, it usually helps me broker my deal better , eg: why are you selling your 85L, "i need a wide angle prime" well i've got a 35L how about a trade plus cash

Well, that reason makes sense, but most the time people do because they are suspicious, which makes no sense.

I'd be suspicious of a corgi selling gear too...
