Can I get an honest critique on this shot (constructive insults allowed ):

Tom, honest critique? I know I am not the best to give you critique..but I'll give you a harsh one.. you asked for it

I posted it on here last year I think, but I was interested in getting some unfiltered feedback.

1. the scene is boring
2. DOF is somewhat lacking, I mean I am not sure if you want the background to be in focus or not, if not, it lacks blurriness, if yes then it lacks DOF.
3.background is a bit hazy, I think you can still add some contrast to it.
4. the photo lacks pop

there... now I just came here but I will hide now, and don't go after me ok? hehehe

I have to agree with some of Stevens comments. Im not sure what your focus is here. It seems the rocks and fence are in focus but you lose out after that.

I think what would make this a stronger composition is if you move towards the right and used the fence as a leading line. This way we would know where you want us to look. Saturation is also a bit strong. Just my opinion.

I would definitely go back there as it has potential.

Ill go check out the 2 series. The one Julian mentions does have a smaller plate but i dont believe it goes up as high and folds longer as well. Decisions decisions

hey are you sure you are looking at the 3531S?

I bet the 3531S and 3541LS have the same plate Omar...only the legs differ.

yes, that 3531S is only 51" tall I think and folds to 24"

Yeah, I marked it on my GPS. The road totally sucks so I have to take the jeep next time (almost beat my GTI's suspension to death). I also have to wait until late September at earliest for the colors to be nice. Probably will have to try again in October, since I'll likely be overseas in September.

If the sun sets or rises in that area it would make for some great colors as well! Where are you going in September?
