haha there is always order in this thread lol

what were your thoughts on it is it worth buying?

I think it's a great lens.
But ever since I switched over to Canon I've not been using the 85mm lens a lot because I have a FF + 1.3x crop body. I usually have my 24L on the 5D2 so my 1D3 sees the 50L a lot if I am shooting with both bodies at the same time. The 85 is just too long. I'll revisit the 85mm situation when I go 2 x FF bodies. Of course that all depends on when the 5D3 is going to come out.

Ic for some reason even though i vowed never to use sigma again... the 50 f1.4, and 85 f1.4 keep catching my eye... Ive used 3 copies of the 50 with only 1 working ok and that was with Nikon but it still had problems, and 2 70-200 f2.8 both had AF issues

No no. Just meter and put your camera in manual mode. Put in the setting you metered for in on the camera and not the flash. Then shoot away as i think the 430 exii has ETTL-II.

Then for more dramatic portraits dial in Flash Exposure Compensation of -1. Or just play around with it depending on the environment.

OK... I'll play around with FEC to -1. I sometimes get too much highlights with the flash sometimes.

I think I just over thought/over complicated things. Heh. Thanks. ;)

Wow... someone was trying to burn a DVD in iDVD yesterday, they couldn't get it to work. They were trying to dump an 8GB 6 minute video on (how the heck is a 6 min video 8GB). I know iDVD reconverts them for you and all... but why the heck would you put a 8GB file on it...

It's a good thing I have this 12 Core / 24GB of ram monster to re-export it. :D
