defractive optics makes the lens lighter, it's not a very popular lens based on the price but not too bad of a lens for image quality and weight ;)

I find them uncontrasty and colors are bit mute... not a fan.

I wish there were better prosumer zoom options for Canon. The kit lens are nice but nothing in between from the kit to L's it seems. :(

I see you've been looking at wider lenses Kenji. I ended up getting the 28mm 1.8. ;)

i've used the 28 1.8 twice, i liked it but never owned it , i think it's a good lens

that guy wasn't even cool in the 70's Roger

Well, he was wearing a "Natural" (which isn't), a white trash imitation of an "Afro," a hairstyle of that era that even "persons of color" have since rejected as absurd.

It was tasty. I had it with salad and some french baguette.

Remember the saying, "Real men don't eat quiche!"?

Well, even back then I ate quiche and countered with, "A REAL man eats any damned thing he wants!"

nice bike computer Omar

Thanks Martin. It was a bit overwhelming at first trying to figure it all out but once it is all running its pretty impressive.

Omar, amazing gadget and data of your trip...I could have used this info when I was biking and also with the car rallies.

Tony it really is very impressive. The wow factor really comes in at how accurate it was able to nail where i was riding. Considering cell phones use their relation to antennas to give you "GPS" (this creates really random trail markers at times) it was nice to have a dedicated GPS system now. You can also set it for automotive use as well :D

Omar, doesnt it take along time to burn calories on a bike? I was in the gym and holy crap I burned like 110 calories in like 10 minutes... if i was on a elliptical i wouldve burned 180 lol.

Yup your right in it taking a long time to burn up a crap load of calories but for that i play basketball :D The work out on a bike really comes into play for your legs, stamina and heart. Its easier on your knees than running (which can destroy them as you get older).

some people have absolutely no concept of resale value, while a lens can hold 90% of it's value the bodies easily loose 50%

they figured they spent a $1000 it should be worth $1000 cause they are saving you tax that they spent
