While photographing fireweed we met a friend of mine (an aboriginal elder) who told us of this pathway out here. The pathway leads to a rocky vista where you can see miles in all directions. We set out to check out where this was as best as I could remember (this is probably the problem…I have the memory of a goldfish) and ended up getting lost. Fortunately we found the fast moving Slave River and this strange abandoned dock/boat. My battery was at 5% so I took a quick couple of frames, then blended the exposure. We had a Spot Tracking Device just in case. The red full-ish moon rises and breaks behind a cloud, flickering its soft orange light on the river before us. Adventurous Photographer, Writer
