Today I got my fake lens in the mail and went straight to my buddies house where he has the same L glass, I ask to try his on my 5d and he only took it off because I said I got my sensor cleaned and wanted to shoot a few test shots but my 24-70 was still in the shop....

I also went as far as breaking a glass and putting the big chunks in the cup!!

He hands over his lens and I turn and whoops!! drop the cup, sounded fake but who knows what a lens hitting hardwood really sounds like anyway??

He just looks at me and his face goes red, I say that he needed to get a 24-70 anyway .

after he calls me a few words I point to his real lens on the shelf and also a second mug I got for him and we laugh, then start thinking about the guy at the camera shop and how he will react to what we have planned for him..

my gear Canon 7D, Canon 5DMK2, 70-200 f2.8 IS, 50mm f1.8, canon 430 speedlight, canon 17-55 2.8 IS, canon 100mm macro sigma 10-20, Canon 17-85 , 60 cokin filters , 2x telecoverter.

There are several descriptive words that come to mind...all generally indicating that you are one evil SOB to do that to a friend.

The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.
A man's worth should be judged, not when he basks in the sun, but how he faces the storm.

You needed to have pre-planned a bit better to have someone grab a shot of his face as the fake lens hit the floor. That shot would have been priceless
