Help with 1.4x EF

Will it work with a 55-250 Kit Lens or do I look at something else like a 300 f4.0 with 1.4 just trying to save money ( wildlife )

I don't think any of the tcons will work with an EF-s lens.

Nope, and you would lose AF if it did anyway. Since the lens would become a f/8... The only bodies to AF at f/8 are the 1D series.

I don't even believe third-party TC's will work either, simply due to the EF-s design.
