Hi, is it possible to enable profile correction to all photos as they are imported by LR3 and whether imported straight from media card or as a folder from hard drive?

Select one and it will be applied to all the imports. But remember that the setting is sticky so the next time you do an import it will still be active unless you change it. Elie / אלי

Jul 23, 2011 22:15 | #3 Hey tzalman, thanks but that only shows presets as far as I can see.....in the develop mode under the Detail tab is Lens Correction and I want this enabled for all photos while importing.....am I missing something in what you said or do I have to create an action?

tonylong ...winded More info | Jul 24, 2011 01:47 | #4 The Lens Corrections Panel "parent" settings are sticky -- meaning that if you turn correction on or off at the top or if you click Enable Profile Corrections on or off or if you select Manual on or off then, when your shut down Lightroom and restart it it should open in the current settings. You can create your own User Preset by turning on Lens Correction, setting it to Auto and then clicking the + next to the word Presets in the left panel and selecting only Lens Correction on the checklist. Or you can have L.C. activated by default. I'm not sure if what Tony wrote is right, but if you just turn on L.C. and press Alt+Reset it will make it being on part of your default settings. Jul 24, 2011 04:41 | #6 Thanks Elie....that's the info I was after.....even though it can slow down the pp process, it doesn't degrade the photo or make it harder for the cloning, adjustment brush etc to do their work, just slower...correct?

With patience I could work if it was just a couple shots, but for large shoots the annoyance factor eventually overcame my deep-seated hatred of spending money. Elie / אלי
