Calumet Photo (external link) has their annual summer sale until 7/30/2011.

Use the coupon code "SUMMER" for:
$10 off $100
$20 off $250
$40 off $500
$75 off $1000
$100 off $1500+

No sales tax applied unless the shipping address is to IL.

Use Mr Rebates (external link) to save an additional 2%.

I've had my eye on "the brick" (24-70mm f/2.8L) for a while:
List price: $1,399 - $75 coupon = $1,324 - 2% MrRebates = $1,297.52 shipped.
(It's not the best pricesince the value of the dollar is deflating...)

Other popular items:
50mm f/1.4 = $371.42 (net)
17-55mm f/2.8 = $1,025 (net)
24-105mm f/4L = $1052.51 (net)
60D Body only = $841 (net)
60D Kit = $1,102.49 (net)
7D body only = $1,469.02 (net)

Use Ebates instead of Mr Rebates and get 2.5%. Just purchased a 70-200 2.8 ISII and my net after rebate was $2147.50 w/free ship & no tax.

No. You can only use one since you go through the site (Ebates or Mr Rebate) to access the vendor (Calumet)

I am getting $2250 for the 70-200 IS II on Calumet's site, with $100 off and 2.5% ebates rebate.

How did you get it down to $2147? Showing $2399 before discounts for me...

My poor math!!! My Calumet was $100 and Ebates was $57.48. Net should have been $2241.52. Lens arrives tomorrow!!! Now I need to sell my beloved 70-200 2.8 non-IS. Sale only applies to in-stock items so if you're a buyer act soon.

this sounds very good for getting new items, but I am curious about these on-line rebate programs, such as fatwallet, Ebates and Mr Rebates...

I went through fatwallet to get 3% rebate on an HP laptop purchase, but after 2 attempts on trying to get cash back via a check, i still haven't receive the check!

From my experience with 2 cash back sites, Bing CashBack (no longer running) and MrRebates, I've never had an issue when requesting for a PayPal deposit.

Ebates is honest and I've always received my checks. Sometimes when I try to access a special sale with a store, the same deal doesn't come up when I access through a rebate site. Most recently a Land's End deal did not come up the same for me through Ebates. I was delighted to see the SUMMER sale at Calumet came up. Lens arrives today.

4.5% rebate at Fatwallet.com for Calumet. The worst of it was disabling my pop-ups and cookie killers so Fatwallet would work. 90 day wait for the paypal transfer, and Calumet acknowledged the purchase the next business day.
