Had a very brief moment to snap some pics of this dust storm that hit Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. High ISO so not the best quality, but it was a frightening sight to watch.

I had just happened to look outside and saw that monster ... just had enough time to grab the camera and snap a few before it made it to my house.

I'm glad I don't have a swimming pool.

WOW! Leave much mess? That would annoy the crap out of me, lol. One of my pet hates is dust in the house.

Do these last long? Anyone have a photo of 'inside' one while it passes over? I have only ever seen photos.

Thanks guys. The dust hit about 5 minutes after i took that picture ... couldn't even see across the street for about 30 minutes then it was over.

Dust everywhere though. We get a lot of dust storms but rarely one this big and powerful.
