Hello friends,
I have recently bought a canon digicam in power shot series with 12X optical zoom and 12mp.I am a new one in terms of photography.
while taking photo inside museum or in some palace where at top there is sunshine,I am getting shiny spots in my photo.like I have captured one photo in auto mode the top section is very shiny because of reflection from sunlight.how to get rid of this.Other small cameras with lesser cost is not creating this problem.please help as Canon is my favorite brand.

I am interested to know which other small cameras are these as they seem to perform incredibly better. Given the lighting situation you described, I get the same results regardless of whether I use a compact or a DSLR, i.e, of course on the assumption that flash is not allowed to be use inside the museum, the reason why I am interested on these other small cameras with lesser cost.
