Add fat to the burger I see in there if it was not done when ground. It tends to be too lean otherwise. Is that a heart lower left-ish? Cut that puppy open, spread it flat, roll it back up with some bacon. The tough cuts make stew or chili.

Gah!

Pretend it is in a pretty package that says turkey on it, maybe it is easier :p Just pretend that pretty package did not come from a factory of disgruntled union workers spitting in said turkey as it runs through the machines and liquid wash pools before being irradiated and machine wrapped in plastic before taking a long truck ride to languish on a store shelf for two Weeks before you eat it. Gah!

Its funny that one of the selling point for venison is that it has little fat (although this fellow had more fat than I had expected, mind you they do try and bulk up before the rut, however this two year old pricket would not have stood a chance against the big boys.)

So the meat is healthy with no fat but to make anything worth eating you have to add ..... fat :-)

No Bambi and his mum walked across a field in front of me before this adolescent hooligan burst on the scene.

LoL no she won't. She was very annoyed last night when I got home with a 95lbs carcass that I could not get on the hook, getting her out of bed at 11:40 to assist did not go down well.

She really does not like seeing them in fur unless they are walking around.

LOL. I guess I should say it's too lean for burgers but is great for tacos, chili and other ground meat recipes. Burgers come out like hard dry things though unless you fatten it up. Here the butcher usually offers that as a sevice when grinding venison.

What "hook"? Do you have a freezer room? And what is up with not being able to lift 95 pounds, I thought you were a big strong old guy :p I shot a deer once, it was around 120 pounds, I had one heck of a time dragging it into a pick up. I was worried I was not going to be able to. Dead weight is hard to deal with. The funny thing is I have a 70 pound pull on my bow, you would think I could lift 120 but it is different when it is limp dead weight. I had no carpet to roll it up in which always makes moving bodies easier.

Neil just wanted to flex his manliness to Teresa. Like a "oh, I need your help" translates to - "yeah, and look what the master brought home to eat". Even at 11:40pm ;)

How long will it take until Teresa is sick of Venison?
