I was playing with some hdr programs. I downloaded the trial for hdr efex pro on my new laptop and then I updated my photomatix.

Number one for me Permie with some of your expert tweaking. The second one reminds me of old post cards and prints of the era.

Its a great morning when new photos arrive at the pub from all the talent in here.

I like Permie's black velvet decor idea. Why don't we all try our hand at:

IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/i-CNrSCph/0/O/i-CNrSCph.jpg

and deck the pub walls.

This kitten is cracking me up today, he eats like he's never been fed - EVER. today he stole a piece of broccoli I was putting in a salad and actually ate part of it before I got it from him, then he ate lettuce and just now a veggie stick (external link) lol!!

No wonder Robby is all bloated!

All my powers of gracious encouraging are being taxed today. Someone I've sort of mentored (I mentored until they 'outgrew' me lol) shot their first wedding today. (Not .tif, though she also shot her first one today too) The first photo posted on fb...oh man. I knew they weren't ready to shoot a wedding but these days, people only listen if they agree. I was hoping, since their portrait shots are reasonably good, that the wedding shots would be. I can't even speak at the moment. lol

that's too bad. I hope the couple getting married isn't disappointed.

So I guess I should hang something on the walls... Don't have much of late that is wall worthy... but here it is...

Great shot Jenn!

I haven't heard anything from my attorney yet. We've been playing phone tag ever since I got back from my trip. I did send him an email with all the info, though. He should have been in touch with the Amador County Sheriff Department and/or the insurance companies by now. I'll try calling him again Monday morning.

Wouldn't the CHP, rather than the Sheriff, handle a vehicle accident investigation?

*hangs velvet hangings in tpbm* :D

Oh please no! Not velvet hangings! Next thing you'll be bringing back avocado or burnt orange colored shag carpeting. :p:D;) *shivers from repulsion reaction*

Sally decided that "since it's too foggy to do photography" that I am going to install the bookcases today. So much for a laid back weekend.

They were called, but they never showed up. Only the Sheriff and the fire department.

Nice digs, some great wall coverings. Haven't seen the velvet type in many years now.

TIM, we have actually done quite a bit of shag carpeting lately, though much better colours and a much denser pile too.

Hmmm, well maybe they do it differently in Amador County. Around here the CHP does all the vehicle accident investigations, although I've heard that if it's a non injury accident, they tell you to come into the office and file a counter report.

The shag carpet of today is a lot different than the disgusting stuff that showed up everywhere in the 60's. Yes, even we had some in our house.:o:o:o

I'm reminded of the old adage, "If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there." Today is just such a day; I have no idea what we're doing, and it's a weird feeling. Plenty of things we should be doing, but without some unexpected inspiration, it won't happen. Oh well, I'll figure it out as I go along.

You're right, Tim. I do believe I've given myself a migraine. Just as it would be unwise for me to jump out of bed and try to run a mile, I should never try thinking until I've been up at least two hours and had a couple cups of coffee.

The irony is not lost on me; I can't get to sleep at night, and will lay in bed, sometimes well into the wee hours, before I can get to sleep. Mornings are just the opposite. I'm groggy for way too long. I don't remember things being that way when I was younger, but then, I don't remember much these days.

I'm pretty much the opposite. I can fall off to sleep in less than 5 minutes in the evening. Usually sleep through the night, but almost always wake up around 5am. I've often wondered what it would be like to sleep in until 10am...not going to happen though.

I wake up before 7:00am. I never sleep late.......ever.

I just wake up very slowly.

I can ususally fall asleep quick, though often wake for a while during the night. 4-5:00 is my normal wake up time, and I can't think of more than one or two times in the past many years I have until 7:00, even if up late and partying.

My best sleeps are when I get a solid 6 hours in, I feel like a hundred bucks. I just love mornings. :)

I'll reserve judgment until I see it, although I'm not optimistic. Seriously, there was a time when probably 3/4 of all houses we dealt with had either green or gold shag, and just thinking about it creates a visceral reaction within me. It is one of the few carpets that actually looked (and probably was) dirty the day it was laid.

I now believe it was a conspiracy by vacuum manufacturers.
