Hi Zane, whats up?

Not much, watching a show on killer coyotes. It's extremely rare they attack humans but a woman was killed by them in Canada.

Well, fine, and here I took a screen shot and everything.;)

Thanks, Becky. All of that on mine looked as it should. That's why I couldn't figure out why things were so screwed up on the left hand side. But I think I have it all fixed now. Use to be I could arrange folders as I wanted them by going into where they are kept in "my computer". And then it would all show up the same way in LR. Looks like I have to go at it from the other direction now and create the files/folders in LR first. Oh well, I just wasted half a day and made my brain numb trying to figure it all out.

found out what i thought was a dirty sensor was infact not a dirty sensor but rather alot of dirt and gunk inside the lens. so i get to send the lense out for cleaning and buy a another lens to use while i wait.

It would take an incredible amount of dirt on a lens to ever show up on a photo.

then i don't know what this is. like there's little specs still but at differen't aperatures, the higher the F# the more evident they are. the sensor litterally under a magnifying glass looks perfect. but there is alot of visible dust and particles inside the lens that i can't get to. thats really the only thing left.

It sounds and looked like sensor dust even if you don't see it. Lens gunk doesn't show unles extreme. Is it your only lens? Try another lens at f/22 on a light piece of paper.

What did you clean the sensor with?

I've seen photos that looked ok that were taken with a lens that had a broken (as in shattered) front glass element. You definitely won't notice dust on the lens in the final images.

I'm trying to find a link to that....someone posted some of those shots. I've also seen the demonstration where they put hunks of Post-It notes on the front element and was amazed at how many they put on before there was any noticeable degrading of the image.

I haven't seen the Post-It one before. Post the link if you can find it.

It reminds me of when you and I were shooting at the Lincoln Memorial, in the rain, at 11:30 at night  People were scared to walk in front of us not realizing it would not show in the long exposures we were doing. We must have looked crazy lol. "Sure, walk in front, you won't show up"
