Ok, Chet (formerly known as FuryMe)

That is a MOD. I doubt many here would know who that is. Some will.... I think HE would. But, he doesn't hang around TPBM, as far as I know.

Who is this person?

A mere figment of someones imagination, nothing more than a dust mote in the scheme of things ;)

Hi Chief, glad everyone is getting better!

Even to the uninitiated, it's obvious good coffee requires more than beans, a grinder, and hot water. I admire your devotion to your hobby, and hope someday to drink a cup of your handiwork.

I have two coffee grinders. One of these:

And an inexpensive Krups grinder that I use for spices.

anytime you are passing through :)
And I considered that grinder. It's a good one. I thought you only used those coffee pods though so why the grinder?

We don't drink coffee much at home, I usually drink it at work, or whilst out. So for Christmas Becca bought a bag of coffee, a lovely Dunkin donuts blend. So on Christmas Day she said let me make you a cup of coffee, three minutes later I hear lots of banging and a damit you're getting coffee. Seems she purchased whole bean, and we don't have a coffee grinder. I'll just say it was a tad on the weak side.

Gotta love her.

LOL!!

Lately, we have only been using the K-pods, but with the very real likelihood that BIL will be spending more time at home in the future, the odds are we will be brewing pots of coffee vs. individual cups.

To the best of my knowledge the Breville grinder wasn't available when I bought the Kitchenaid Pro. No doubt I would have bought it instead since I love everything Breville makes. I already have one of their countertop ovens, a Smart Grill, an electric water kettle, and the Keurig machine, all made by Breville. I'm a real fanboy.

LOL! I have something else breville but I can't remember what it is. I only bought this because it was the one machine under $500 that could grind a true espresso grind (as well as the powder grind I needed for the Egyptian coffee).

Not everyone here follows the TR on Facebook, so I'll make the announcement here, since it's all about you guys anyway....

I've only got about 50 frames left to "ink" in the Film Noir series and I expect to get those completed by week's end. Since I have a buffer of about 200 frames, I've decided to pick up on a Monday-Friday schedule to finish it all up.

After the Noir, there will be a lengthy hiatus before the next series as I'll be involved in other areas of life for several months and will not have the time to devote to the strip. Hopefully, near the end of Summer, I'll be able to pick up the schedule again.

I realize I've been scarce for the last four or five months but that's how it goes at times. Hopefully things will level out in time. :)

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

I just watched the video on their website. I'm really jealous. One good thing about the Kitchenaid, the hopper developed a crack. I have no idea how, although it appeared to be stress-induced (the hopper's, not mine). I made a call to KitchenAid, and they sent me a new one for free, no questions. I'd already owned it a while.

What I don't like about it is the mess that results whenever I use it. The catch jar is not 100% effective, and some of the coffee always spills out on the counter. I'm thinking (after watching their video) of putting a paper filter under the jar to catch they stuff that falls outside the jar.

the tea glass reminds me of those shrimp cocktail glasses we would save to use for juice.

Dan, just a thought. Here is an example of a simplified strip to improve workflow. You get the idea.
