Before knowing what it was I found this moth, very well camouflaged in the soil at the base of the apple tree. When looking it up I found it to be a Codling moth, Cydia pomonella, which is a pest of apple crops, as the larva live in the fruit. I'd heard of them, but never seen one before. Picture taken with 5D MkII, MP-E65 at 2X, and MT-24EX with homemade diffusers (left head one stop brighter than right), 1/200, f/10, ISO200 I think.
